You didn’t think I’d show up, did you?  Yeah, I sort of wondered the same thing as I laid in bed last night thinking about this whole thing.  I mean, what do I have to blog about for 31 days straight?!  I suppose it will be a mix of personal musings, client sneak peeks (get ready for a newborn- coming soon!), old favorites, my own children, jokes.  (I really love a good joke, but I’m fairly horrible at re-telling them.)

Today’s post is a mix of personal and business…

First of all, the winner of the blog-button contest is Lindsey Sanders!  Congrats Lindsey- you’ll receive a complimentary 11×14, mounted and lustre-sprayed with your next session.  Thank you to everyone who played. 

Second, my face.  My little one loves stickers.  She saves them.  She sticks them all over creation until they simply won’t stick any more.  Occasionally (often?) a perfect stranger in the grocery store will quietly motion and whisper to me (as I’m perusing the produce isle) that I have a Goofy sticker on my rump.  Placed there unbeknown to me, by the way.

She got stickers in the mail from her Grandma in Ohio for Valentine’s Day.  Squooshy stickers at that.  They’re now 17 days old and clinging to their stickiness for dear life.  Almost dead.  And they’ve been all over the house and all over each one of us.  I was reading in the Love Sac last week when she climbed up and proceeded to give my face a makeover.  “Pretty Mommy!”, she said when she finished.  *My heart then proceeded to melt into a big mess all over my expensive bean bag.*
EDIT: Want to know what makes me melt even faster than having my daughter tell me I’m pretty? Seeing the picture of the two of us and knowing that she got my eyes. Like ice on a sidewalk in August. I just melt.

I’m having a contest. Thanks to my friend Jen, I learned how to make myself a button. I know, should have been easy, right? I don’t have the time or patience to figure this out on my own. I had to ask for specific instructions. But, it’s done! Who wants a button? Here’s how this works…
