Earlier this week, a contest was held on the 30 days blog. Celeste, from Orange County, won. I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful woman and her oh-so-stylin’ little family this morning. We had such a great time! The reason I titled this post “Ideal” is because it was ideal. Happy people wearing great clothes (read: coordinating, but not “matching” per say), excited to be outside on a pleasant Saturday morning. There was no posing. There was no “cheese!”, they were happy to be themselves and pretend I wasn’t there. HALLELUJAH, I love this kind of session! And you know what? They’ll be able to look back at these pictures and remember today- real life- an easy, fun Saturday morning in January. You guys are awesome- thanks for a wonderful time! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I do not drink Soda. My children do not drink Soda. Justin likes Soda, but is very good about not drinking it. We don’t have it in the house. We don’t get it at restaurants. We just don’t drink it.
Until this week. (Note: I still don’t drink it.)
JT went to the store for something and came back with a 6-pack of Henry Weinhard’s Root Beer. I dont care for Root Beer, but if I’m going to drink one (which I never do), I’m going to drink a Henry’s. Well, the little man got a sip of it and thought it was “the best Soda in the whole world”. Know that we’ll NOT be stocking Henry’s in our fridge. However, this was a fun treat for him, and he looked too dang cute chuggin’ his root beer not to take his picture. Cheers!

My “baby” turned two this week. Auuuugggg! My life is flashing before my eyes. While I swear it can’t be that two years have already gone by, the truth is, I have a hard time remembering our lives before she joined them. We spent most of the day at the Happiest Place On Earth, even buying a pair of “minnie ears”. We never hunt down the characters to do pictures, but the cute couple walked right in front of us at one point, so I had to get a shot. The rest are just her 2-year portraits. She’s just such an angel, and I’m so grateful that this sweet pea is part of our family! I love you baby girl. Happy birthday to you!

Just when I think this boy couldn’t be any more BEAUTIFUL handsome, he goes and proves me wrong. How did I end up with such a boy? All I know is I paid extra for cute. And extra extra for those LASHES. All five-year-old girls take note: he’s mine!

On our way home (read: NM) for the holidays we made a quick stop in Phoenix and saw lots of old friends. I was able to spend a fun afternoon with my cousin and her sweet little family. Here’s a little sneak peek!

Ready? I hope you’re reading with a friend, because you’ll need each other to qualify!
Book a session with Rachel Clare Photography in January or February with a friend and you’ll be able to split the session fee and receive 25% off of all prints and products. Your sessions need not take place at the same time, but do need to be booked at the same time. Sessions must take place by Feb. 28th, 2009 and are good for up to 4 people each ($25/person extra). And, I simply can’t post without a picture. Here’s my little man doing a bang-up job painting with his first set of watercolors. (And yes, that’s a black/green eye- tripped and smashed face-first into a door jam! Nearly broke my heart. Healing up just fine now… both of us!)
